LARGE Death Concentration Camps

I wrote this after finding out that Nebraska, Wyoming and Alaska now hold giant concentration internment camps, having apparently spread over from Russia to Alaska over the Bering Sea/the Bering Straight, and there are probably more in other outlying areas of the United States. There were myriad Soviet concentration camps and mental institutions housing millions of people since WWI, and now we have the same thing in the supposedly "free" USA. What can we do about this horrible situation, one in which mentally institutionalized people are being first warehoused, then transferred over to huge warehouse style concentration camp facilities - and possibly, death camp facilities? They have this in China too, and it's said the period of life one has in China's death camps is three to five months.

LARGE Death Concentration Camps

Theyre all over the raw planet - not just in the past
There's several in China of "five real different sizes"
There's bunches in Africa they sent my good friends
There's now MANY in the United States of America
It "had" to come - and we all think it's only "them."

It is not us to blame you see for it - but how can we
Ever oppose them; well, I say, write your congress!
Please grab any method you can, and write to them.
I would also say: mount an action, use any weapons;
Find some weapons inventive, and descend on them.
But you will have to get something of yours together
And I sit here, disabled, forever unable to participate.

Anything you can think of, please do so forthwith, but
I am sitting at home, female, unable to make anything.
I feel guilt-ridden, laughed to scorn, rudely obnoxious.
Like all poets, I would jump out a window... but can't.

Assisted Living For All

Many elderly people dread going to nursing homes because of the bad reputation that nursing homes have in our society. Nursing homes have had some problems over the past several decades, but there are still good, reputable homes. Even so, being placed in a home will force your loved one to give up their personal freedom, privacy, and independence. If your loved one does not yet need constant medical care, there isn't a necessity to place them in a nursing home. Try considering another option.

The alternative to a nursing home is an Assisted Living Facilities, popularly known as ALF. These facilities are for people needing assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), but who want to live as independently as possible for as long as possible. Assisted living purpose is to bridge the gap between independent living and nursing homes.

Level of Freedom

Residents in assisted living centers are not able to live by themselves, yet do not require constant care either. Assisted living facilities offer help with ADLs such as eating, bathing, dressing, laundry, housekeeping, and assistance with medications. Many facilities also have centers for medical care; however, the care offered may not be as intensive or available to residents as the care offered at a nursing home.

Understanding the Differences

The decision on whether to send your loved one to an assisted living facility or a nursing home rests on many factors, such as the following.

* Cost: Assisted living is rather costly because individuals live in apartment-like settings. Nursing homes are cheaper because the elderly live in a more communal space, with little private space.

* Medicare is frequently available for someone in a nursing home. It may not be for someone living in Assisted Living Facility.

* Facilities: Assisted living facilities are focused on individuals. Nursing homes are focused on the collective group.

* Place: While assisted living facility is a place for one or few particular aged at a time, a nursing home houses many patients. The former house an individual who is given all the help and assistance he or she needs, while the nursing home gives far less individual care.

* Nursing homes are meant to care for people who have a number of health care requirements, and cannot care for themselves. Assisted living facilities are meant to assist elderly persons who can basically care for many of their personal needs themselves.

* In an assisted living facility, skilled nursing care is not usually available except on an as-needed basis. A nursing home is more similar to a hospital environment and provides full-scale, skilled nursing care.

* Assisted living facilities are meant to assist people in preparing meals, bathing, dressing or performing household chores. If your loved one is often confused or experiencing memory problems, assisted living might be the answer. If they have a debilitating disease or condition, they might need a nursing home.

Consider Their Welfare

When deciding on either a nursing home or an assisted living facility, your major concern should be the welfare of your loved one. It may be necessary to factor in the reality of costs, but there are ways of obtaining financial aid and in the long run, you'll rest easier knowing your loved one is being well cared for. Just keep in mind that if you end up with a situation that is fraught with problems, the effort and stress you invest in resolving the situation may not be worth the dollars you thought you might save.

Active Meditation / Visualization

Part One

Choose a nature scene. For instance scenery of mountain, meadow or ocean to picture and imagine during your session. You might consciously choose a particular scene and find that when you close your eyes and relax a different scene pops into your mental vision. That is fine, go with the new scene but once you have started the meditation stay with that scene for that session. Choose whatever scenery accommodates your feelings for that day.

Allow your eyes to close.

Exhale contracting the abdomen gently.

Inhale by expanding the lower abdomen like it was a balloon.
Inhale, Inhale, Inhale, Inhale
And exhale contracting the abdomen gently

Breathe slowly and rhythmically
Observe how the body releases tightness with every exhalation

Continue inhaling and exhaling being aware on the inhale that the oxygen is relaxing your muscles from your toes to scalp as well as deep to your core

Relaxation flowing deep, deep, deep right to the space between your atoms

Watch the breath like it is a wave that is breathing you

Feel relaxation deepen with every breath as if your body is spreading and melting out

Observe the breath happening

On the inhalation, observe the energy of the oxygen that you draw through your body from toes to scalp

On the exhale contract the abdomen gently and feel the deepening and strengthening sense of peace and relaxation

Sense any areas of blockage and direct relaxation there Like finding a closed door and opening it

Release your consciousness of the breath when you sense the body is totally open

Now maintaining your body's sense of deep peace and relaxation, imagine yourself in a mountain, meadow or ocean setting. Use all your senses to develop the image. Start with whichever sensation feels the strongest. Depending on how you process mentally this will be either visual sensations or kinesthetic (a feeling of knowing)sensations.

For example, can you feel sunshine just the right temperature warming and relaxing your body, is there a gentle caressing breeze?

How does the earth or sand feel beneath your feet or are you lying in a meadow amongst flowers and grass?

What scents are you aware of salty ocean air, fragrant flowers, crisp mountain air.

Are there sounds around you? The breaking of waves on the shore, bird calls, the singing of a breeze through trees or tall grass, friendly animal sounds.

If you touch different elements what texture or sensations does that feel like? What shade and color is everything?

Keep developing a scenic image through your senses for the set meditation time.

If you have difficulty getting a sense of a fantasy image, you can use a familiar image such as your home or car. When you have the feel of picturing a familiar image, place your familiar object in a fantasy setting.

Continue this lesson for seven days.

This exercise will develop your ability to access information and knowledge through your five physical senses and increase your psychic intuitive capability.

The best way to predict the future is to create it. Peter Drucker

Weight Loss Motivation - 3 Useful Tips

Lack of motivation is a major reason many people fail when it comes to losing weight. I myself know first hand. All the daily distractions in life can leave you distracted from what you truly want. This article will address 3-ways to stay motivated and give you better chances of succeeding.

Weight Loss Motivation Tip #1

The first step is convincing yourself this is something you must have. Write down the three main reason why you must lose weight. It could be anything such as health benefits, wanting more energy, wanting to increase your life span, etc. Re-sight these on a daily basis to keep you focused on why you must succeed.

It takes years to get out of shape, and even less to get in shape. The average life span for a human is around 70 years. Did you know it can take as little as 6 months to 1 year to get in shape for the average overweight person? Before you start any program, make sure you are willing to commit 6 months to 1 year at it. It will not happen overnight. Its going to take time and energy. Remember your why reasons to help keep you on track.

Weight Loss Motivation Tip #2

The next step is finding a program that works to follow. You should not just buy the first fad diets or exercising gimmick you see on the television. Most people know a handful of people who have tried some form of diet or exercise program that worked. Go to these people and find out exactly what they did. If you do not know anyone, you can find many forums and review sites on the Internet of real user that explain exactly what they have done. Visit some of these websites to for ideas.

Weight Loss Motivation Tip #3

The final step is having someone to motivate and consistently push you to keep going. This could be a spouse, friend, partner, or even someone on an Internet message board. You do not have to go it alone in fact, having someone to keep you motivated will increase your chances of success.

Everybody wants to get in shape and life healthy. In my opinion, everyone can. Using these weight loss motivation tips can drastically help increase your chances of weight loss success. Remember to identify your why reason, stick to a program that works, and find someone to keep you motivated.

Habit Change--Six Steps to Success

As every New Year approaches, many of us are doing the usualthinking, This year will be different. Im going to change(fill in the blanks)my work habits, my attitudes. Ill lose those pounds; Ill make that difficult choice thats long overdue. We re-make these resolutions throughout the year.

But will really follow through until the goals are accomplished? Or will this new determination be like the otherslots of good intentions, plenty of wishes, but basically, life goes on as usual?

Research on personal change (Prochaska, Norcross, and Diclemente; Changing for Good) has demonstrated that successful change comes in six well-defined stages. Perhaps the failure to recognize these stages has been responsible for your past frustrations and failures in following through on self improvements.

You see, each of these stages has a series of tasks that must be completed before you can progress to the next. You set yourself up for failure when you either try to accomplish changes you arent ready for or when you stay so long on tasks youve mastered (such as understanding your problem) that you become stuck indefinitely.

Think about your past experiences as you read what happens in these six stages.

STAGE 1: PRECONTEMPLATION When youre at this stage, you arent even admitting you have a problem. Weve all seen unhealthy denial in others. We often have trouble seeing it in ourselves.

Writer G.K. Chesterton said, It isnt that they cant see the solution. Its that they cant see the problem.

Precontemplators dont want to change themselves. They think others are to blame for their difficulties. Likely, others are experiencing the precontemplators problem and may be applying pressure for him or her to change. The responsesdenial and resistance.

Are you in this stage? Chances are, you are with at least one of the destructive and self-defeating behaviors you need to change.

STAGE 2: CONTEMPLATION When you move to the Contemplation stage, you acknowledge you have a problem, and you want to get unstuck. You begin to think seriously about solving your problem. You try to understand its causes, and you begin to investigate your options. At this point you have indefinite plans to take action within the next few months.

However, you can stay stuck in this stage for months or years. (Is this where you are now?) You know you need to change, and you intend tosomedayjust as soon asafterwhen the rush is over (when would that be?). You know your desire and your destination, but youre not quite ready to go.

Fear of failure can keep you searching for an easier, more dramatic, or more complete solution to your problem. The irony is, failure is guaranteed if you dont move on to the next stage.

STAGE 3: PREPARATION If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

You greatly reduce your success probability if you suddenly wake up one morning, say This is the day, and dive headfirst into a change without realistically and specifically planning how you will make the change happen.

At Stage 3, you develop a detailed plan of action and you may announce your intentions publicly. Your awareness is high, and you may have already begun small behavioral changes. Before moving ahead, however, you need to know exactly how you will keep your awareness and commitment high throughout the struggles of the next stages.

STAGE 4: ACTION This stage is the one that requires the most commitment and energy. Its where you actually DO IT! You receive the most recognition and support during this stage, because others can see that youre working at it. You follow the plan youve made in Stage 3, make revisions as necessary, and keep on keeping on even when its inconvenient or difficult.

Heres a caution: Action doesnt necessarily mean that lasting change has been made. Its an essential part of the process, but the failure to do whats necessary in the next stage, Maintenance, can sabotage the progress youve made so far.

STAGE 5: MAINTENANCE The maintenance stage is a long, ongoing process. From my experience, its the most difficult. (How many times have I dieted, for example, only to gain the weight back?)

The Action stage must be followed by constant vigilance and a systematic plan for dealing with those temptations that can draw you back into the old, destructive pattern. Its hard work to consolidate the gains youve made during the first four stages and to prevent relapse.

Celebrate achieving your goals, but dont relax and tell yourself, Whew! Im glad thats over! Develop a menu of mental and behavioral coping strategies that will take you through the times when your feet begin to slip. (More on that in the next article.)

STAGE 6: TERMINATION There is lively debate about whether this stage is possible when the behavior youve changed is an addictive habit. The ideal would be that you no longer feel tempted, and the habit is absolutely not a problem for you. Some say, however, that you must always maintain a life of vigilance.

I tend to agree. Some can progress to the point that they are not constantly tempted, nor do they think about it every day. However, I believe that once youve had a deeply ingrained habit or addiction, you are always more vulnerable than if youd never had it. Keep a level of awareness, especially in times of stress. Studies show that in times of stress or conflict, people are most likely to slip.

NOT A LINEAR PROGRESSION

Wouldnt it be nice if we smoothly progressed from one stage to the next? Its possible, but not probable. Most people have episodes of backsliding into Contemplation or even Precontemplation before trying again. In fact, studies show that New Years resolutions are made, on average, five times before the changer moves all the way to Maintenance! (Thats average. You dont have to do it that many times if you know how to move more effectively through these six stages.)

Dont give up! If you have a setback, dont stay there. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try againthis time with a revised and better plan.

How To Organize A Yard Sale

A yard sale is a great way to purge space taking items that you no longer need, but someone else may need, and at the same time earn some cash. For the yard sale to be successful, it needs to be organized well.

Before you conduct a yard sale, you should know why and how it is going to be done.

Here are some question to ask yourself:
  • Why a yard sale and not Ebay or Craigslist?
  • Are you downsizing a home, moving, or just wanting to clear stuff or earn some money?

The answers to these questions might help in your planning. In general, here are some things you can think about:

  1. One of the first steps in organizing items for a yard sale is to decide when you are going to have it. Having a date in mind will give your yard sale a sense of reality and help you to make decisions about what you will sell and what you will keep. Having a yard sale date on the calendar will also give you the motivation to actually have the yard sale. Nothing happens without a goal and a plan. I often work with clients who want to have a yard sale but until I work with them, they never do.

  2. Next you need to go through your home or office and select items that you will sell. Be decisive and consider if you use, need, or love the item. If not, it is a good candidate for the sale. Is the item easily replaced? Make sure that the items are not broken and that they are in good condition.

  3. Start sorting. Organize your yard sale in the same way you look for things in a department store and sort your items by category, i.e. kitchen items, appliances, linens, household items such as lamps, throw pillows, clothes, luggage, sporting goods, auto, etc.

  4. Price your items. To get an idea what things go for shop other yard sales or check Ebay or Craigslist.

  5. Advertise your sale in the newspaper, on the internet, use flyers and get the word out. Make sure you know how much lead time you need to place an ad.

  6. The day of the sale, make sure you start early! Yard sale shoppers are early birds and will sometimes line up a good half hour or more before your advertised sale time. You may want to decide if you are going to allow early shoppers or not?

  7. Find out if your neighborhood, city, or county have rules or regulations about yard sales.

  8. NOTE: Most yard sales that I have organized and worked are pretty much over by late morning or by noon. Things are for the most part "picked over" by then. You can wait for more buyers or start giving things away so that you do not have to haul stuff off to Goodwill yourself.

Good luck with your sale.

How Core Beliefs Become Learning Behaviors

Enriched learning is all about the effective absorption and integration of new material. The more you know about the concepts, the more you will find out things unknown to your parents, to teachers, and even to neuroscientists just a decade ago.

For instance, ninety-five percent of your behavior reflects patterns and habits mostly acquired when you were very young. Because our educators and caregivers didn't know any better, most of us grew up with ineffective study habits. Countless hours have been wasted in classrooms and in home study, and have often yielded frustration, self-limiting beliefs, and low self-esteem. However, there's no need to take it anymore! No matter what your age, you can learn successfully and with delight.

Freud popularized the concept of the subconscious (or what is sometimes also called the unconscious or the non-conscious). Although your conscious mind plays an important role, learning has much more to do with non-conscious processing than with conscious thought. Remember that, as you learn how to nourish and develop it, your mind's chief responsibility is your protection; in fact, your survival.

Let me use an analogy to explain the power of the subconscious mind. If your feet are flat on the floor, the area under your feet corresponds to the processing ability of your conscious mind. The floor area in the room not covered by your feet represents the power of your subconscious mind. Your conscious mind operates at around 126 bits per second, and your subconscious mind is 10,000 times faster. Clearly, the power is really in the subconscious.

As a therapist, I have found that most issues that adults present to me originate in their first seven years of life. This imprint phase of social development is at a time when the conscious mind is not yet fully developed, before growth of a vital filter to assess incoming information's validity, the so-called Critical Faculty. Well aware of this, advertisers use the term Critical Faculty Bypass when weighing the effectiveness of advertisements. If the advertising message gets through to the emotional subconscious mind, then the likelihood of purchase increases. What does this have to do with learning? Quite a lot. Read on.

If life-long patterns are set in the first seven years of life, then it's important for parents, older siblings, coaches, teachers, and any other influencers to be extremely careful with their language, both verbal and non-verbal. If a parent says, "You're just like your father. You'll never amount to anything" or "It's a good thing you're cute, because you're not very smart". The messages go directly, in the absence of a strong Critical Faculty, to the subconscious where accepted as valid, they begin to form patterns and beliefs. Subsequent fractured self-esteem and self-doubt results.

Elephant trainers use an interesting control technique. When an elephant is still very young, the trainer attaches one end of a strong chain to one of the elephant's legs, and the other end to a stake. This allows the animal the freedom of a very defined circle, and, harnessed day after day, the elephant learns that this circle is its only territory. As the years go by, the chain is progressively exchanged for thinner and thinner ropes. The trainer knows that the elephant could walk away at any time, but the elephant doesn't catch on, and so remains within the defined circle. Important questions for you from this are: What's your circle? What are your self-limiting beliefs?

More Than Just Garbage Here

The Legacy of Wallace D. Wattles

In 1910, Wallace D. Wattles released his book called the "Science of Getting Rich" which inspired the hot movie of 2006, "The Secret". What is the big deal about "The Science of Getting Rich".

Wallace D. Wattles wrote, "The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich."

The movie "The Secret", showed how you can have whatever you want in life and be able to create all that you desire. So why is it that money is so important?

Here's an amazing statistic. If you take 100 people and follow them from the beginning of their working career and follow their progress for the average 40-year working career until the retirement age, this is what you will most likely find:

1 person will be wealthy
4 will be financially secure
5 will be working because they have to, not because they want to
36 will be dead
54 will be broke - dependent on Government welfare or any other means to survive.

What this means is that only 5% of people will be successful financially and 95% will be unsuccessful.

The wealthy people actually understand the Law of Attraction which is the premise of Wallace D. Wattles book, "The Science of Getting Rich". Wealthy people recognize that there is abundance around us and it is up to each one of us to attract abundance into our lives.

So why is money important?

According to one of the teachers from "The Secret" and the new program called the Science of Getting Rich Seminar, Bob Proctor, "We need to make a game out of making money. There is so much good we can do with money. Without it, we are bound and shackled and our choices become limited."

With that is mind, some of the teachers from "The Secret" have created The Science of Getting Rich Seminar that is designed to show everyone how to use the Law of Attraction to work for you and be rewarded in all ways in your life.

Never Give Up On Your Goals

What thoughts or emotions came over you as you read that? Never give up! Billionaire Philanthropist and Presidential Candidate H. Ross Perot said, Most people stop digging three feet from the goldmine. This is the wrong approach. There has to be certain aspects in place, such as goals, plans, visions, etc. However, for the most part, when these components are intact, success will come to you sooner or later.

Many people don't like the whole later possibility aspect, yet it can't be ignored. The important thing is that your dreams and goals will come to pass if you do not give up along the way. If you stop pursuit, you lose. Yet, if you adopt the attitude that I will not be denied, you really wont be denied. I'm not an expert on this, but I believe obstacles show up to help us become more resilient. Where you greatly desire to go, you can't be a wimp. You must be able to chew nails and breathe fire (figuratively speaking). Les Brown says it best. "You must trade in who you've been for who you must become." Wow! What a profound statement. Think about it. Look into the future and be brutally honest with yourself. What type of person must you be in the future in order to truly BE who you greatly desire to be?

What qualities and characteristics does that person possess that you do not currently possess? What do you particularly like about that person? Are they friendlier, healthier, more confident, a better leader? Thoroughly diagnose the ultimate you and the current you. When placed side by side, what changes must you make to become the ultimate you? Completing this exercise is very eye-opening.

One important thing that you will discover is the confident, resilient attitude that you really wont be denied. You are that warrior that chews nails and breathes fire, and loves every minute of it. Success requires a different mindset. A big part of that mindset is developing a never give up mentality. It is possible for you to complete each task you begin with that mentality. Giving up robs you of the joy thats sure to come as you check off tasks that youve completed on route to your goal.

Remember the words of Jack Canfield: You deserve to have your life exactly the way you want it. I believe that quote with everything within me. The challenge is to believe the quote and realize that it may take a year, or two, or three for your life to be exactly as planned. The question is do you give up along the way? I have confidence in you that you will make it through to the end.

Ten Healing Questions

It's possible to bring forth the advanced capacities for healing and life transformation that already exist within. This advanced or higher mind has awesome healing powers, powers of love, wisdom, compassion, peace, light and more. When you reach this level of mind, you have the ability to release old patterns and transform your greatest negativities into enlightened understanding.

There is a great Sanskrit prayer, which says:

Lead us from darkness into light...
From the unreal to the real...
From death to immortality.
Om shanti, shanti, shanti.

The transformation of your consciousness means that you are able to uplift your understanding of existence. It means that there is a shift in the way you see and perceive. Healing, in fact, is the profound connection with the transformational power, the Healing Power itself. Our inner ills are the result of a lack of connection with these advanced qualities of being. When you get back in touch with them, healing takes place on every level.

Activating the Healing Qualities of Mind

You can ask yourself questions to unveil the transformational healing experiences in an life situation:

How can I heal this? Can I experience more love here?

Can I step back from this and see it in a different way, from another perspective?

Can I quiet my mind? Experience more peace?

Can I have more compassion here?

What am I learning from this?

Is there a particular part of myself that needs healing? What does that part of me need?

Is there a particular way I can release this?

Is this about my ego? Can I take any steps beyond this?

Can I experience more light here?

Can I forgive in this situation?

Asking and answering these questions can bring you self-knowledge, personal growth, and healing.

Dealing with Difficult People: 27 Secrets & Strategies You Can Apply Today

No one can get your goat if they dont know where its tied up.
Zig Ziglar

1.Listen more effectively. Listening is the number one tool in communication, especially when dealing with difficult people.

2.Step back and analyze the situation from an outside perspective. When we are less emotionally involved and "cool our jets," the answers come for how to effectively deal with them. Whether dealing with a difficult boss, dealing with a difficult co-worker, or spouse.

3.Ignoring often doesnt work. The tension becomes so thick you can cut it with a knife.

4.Choose your battles. There are times when you have to let it go. Know when to speak up and when to pick your battles.

5.Criticize in person, praise in public. Never publicly criticize someone as you will look like the bad guy and the difficult person will only become more upset.

6.Maintain respect for them even if you disagree or dislike them. At least acknowledge what they say. Think about how you would want to be treated.

7.Seek first to understand then to be understood.

8.People often wont care what you think unless they think you care. At least attempt to see it from their perspective.

9.Maintain high expectations and standards if you are managing this employee. If you dont do this you will be seen as enabling their unacceptable behavior.

10.Strive for greater communication. Often, its not that there isnt enough communication, its that its bad communication. Work on improving your conflict resolution skills. If you are a manager, consider training everyone in conflict resolution skills. One of the main reasons teams fail is because some of the people on the team don't like each other, or aren't skilled in how to handle conflict effectively.

11.Invest in communication skills courses and conflict resolution skills courses to improve the part you can control you.

12.Dont lose emotional control. Antagonists and passive-aggressives will often try to push your buttons.

13.Avoid being around difficult people when theyre in a bad mood. If theyre always in a bad mood, try being around them when they are in a better mood!

14.Accept, change or reject. Know that ultimately you only have three choices. 1) Accept the situation knowing it wont change. 2) Attempt to change your relationship with them by changing how you react. 3) If its really affecting your well being, it may be time to reject the situation and move on.

15.No buts allowed! Dont follow giving them positive reinforcement with, But on the other hand The word but only negates everything positive you just said.

16.Non-verbally position yourself at their eye level. For example, if they are sitting when you talk with them, sit. If they are standing, stand. Converse at their level.

17.Avoid the word need when possible and use want instead. Saying politely and tactfully, John, I want to have the project in to me by noon so that we'll meet our deadline. "Want" is more assertive as long as it's in the right tone.

18.Watch your tone of voice. Avoid an autocratic or sarcastic tone. The Latin root of the word sarcasm is "sarco" meaning tearing of the flesh!

19.In face-to-face communication, words account for only 7% of what people notice and believe about you. Tone is 38% and body language 55%. So a full 93% is tone and body language.

20.Give sincere positive reinforcement when they do something well. Show genuine appreciation. Often difficult people are difficult because they feel unappreciated.

21.Avoid absolutes such as, You always and You never. It puts people further on the defensive.

22.Dont take it personally. Often theyre difficult because of something going on with them.

23.Watch your mental state. Dont let them drag you down. A little of that can be normal but dont allow it to go on.

24.Remember the person who constantly angers you, or constantly intimidates you, controls you.

25.Mutually agree to move on. Agree to disagree. If this isnt possible, at least move on in your own mind.

26.Attempt to understand whats driving that difficult behavior. Get at the root cause, even if you only try to figure it out in your own mind.

27.E + R = 0. Event + Reaction = Outcome. You cant control the event, but you can control the outcome based on how you react or respond. Be careful how you respond.

For example, theres the story of the couple who were divorcing. A neighbor said to the wife, "Do you think youd ever get back together? She replied, "No, because we have said things to each other that are so horrible, that even after apologizing they could never be taken back. There's no way we'd get back together."

The moral of the storybe careful what you say. Once those words are out, they're hard to take back.

The disease of me often results in the defeat of us.

Achieve All of Your Goals

In Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen's original "Chicken Soup for the Soul," I am reminded of the short story titled "Another Check Mark On the List." This is a story about a 15-year-old boy named John who, on one rainy day, when it was too wet outside to play, he decided to write a list of goals. John continued writing until he had 127 goals. These goals included exploring the Nile River, climbing high mountain peaks around the world and learning 3 foreign languages. He also wanted to be featured in a Rose Bowl Parade and play several musical instruments.

Of the 127 goals that he listed over 60 years ago, John has achieved 108. If he lives to become 75 years old he will achieve 109 (he listed "live to see the 21st Century"). How did John achieve all of these goals? He wrote them down.

Step 1 Write It Down:

Write it down, write it down, and write it down!

Have you ever got to a point where you were going to write down a New Year's Resolution or some other goal you thought you wanted, only to find yourself procrastinate. One year later, did you need to achieve the same New Year's Resolution or goal? Why does this happen?

It happens because of that little voice inside of you that says, "I am not good enough or worthy enough to be in possession of the benefits derived from achieving my goal." "I have been programmed for failure."

I recently read a motivational quote that said: "If you can't write it down, you can't do it."

Let us think about that for a minute. Every day you may be compiling lists of things to do to run your household, perform your job, or plan your business trip or vacation. How many times do you really write down, exactly what you want out of life?

How many long term or short-term goals do you write down?

Now when thinking about what you want to achieve focus your attention on specific words and ideas relating to your goals. Give those words and ideas your complete attention as you write them down.

Did you ever write a letter, business report, or term paper and at times find your fingers flying across the keyboard?

Since written words are symbols of objects, ideas, or feelings, could the physical process of entering these words onto a page actually create a subconscious connection?

I believe it does. When you use language to communicate on paper, you need to process the information on a subconscious level.

The help you are getting while creating your list of goals is coming straight from your powerful subconscious mind. Why not take advantage of the power of your mind in achieving your goals?

Write your goals down in your day planner, write them down, and hang them on your walls. Write your goals on sticky notes and place them on your bathroom mirror or on your windows.

Every time you write your goals down, your body is moving towards them. The goals are getting clearer and clearer. The roadmap you create by writing goals down projects straight to your subconscious mind and is being acted upon.

A now popular syndicated cartoonist wrote down 15 times a day, every day the following sentence. "I want to be a syndicated cartoonist." He did this every single day, even when he did not feel like a syndicated cartoonist. Now, Scott Adams, the creator of the "Dilbert Cartoon" is a full-time, syndicated cartoonist, known the world over. Scott "wrote it down."

One way to state that goal in a more positive and immediate context is to say, "I am a syndicated cartoonist." Act as if you already are in possession of the goal. It takes a lot of pressure off you during your daily activities when you feel the new role. You then become comfortable with it.

Write your goals down everywhere. As you write them down think about John, the 15-year-old goal achiever from the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" story. Now that John is in his seventies, what advice would John have for you when you ask him, "What is the most important thing I can do to achieve my goals?"

Listen to John whisper in your ear these three words... write it down.

Pedagogical Effectiveness Of Online 1-1 Classes

The basic pedagogical process can be defined as a systematic transfer of knowledge and - or skills from an instructor to a learner. Depending upon the basic objectives of the process, the transfer may be limited to cognition of facts or may be extended to application and extension of facts, their inter-linkages and derivative concepts.

Since the important players in this interaction are the instructor and the learner, the important determinants of the effectiveness of the process should include the instructor centric parameters, the learner centric parameters and the transaction centric parameters.

Instructor Centric Parameters

Instructor centric parameters revolve around the instructors ability to effectively transfer the skills / knowledge and ignite the curiosity and motivation of the learner to explore the area through active thinking and alternative knowledge sources.
a)Level of the target knowledge / skill with the instructor
b)Level of transaction skill of the instructor
a.Ability to engage
b.Ability to motivate
c.Ability to transfer the knowledge / skill
d.Ability to activate the curiosity of the learner
e.Ability to answer related questions
f.Ability to positively handle unrelated queries
c) Motivation level of the instructor

The level of target knowledge is to a great extent determined by academic achievements of the instructor. To ensure adequate target knowledge, it is important to not only go by the academic qualifications possessed by the instructor but also testing his actual level of knowledge through independent testing.

Transaction skills of the instructor depend upon the awareness of the learning process possessed by the instructor and his aptitude for teaching. A University degree in education provides adequate understanding of the learning process to the instructor. However, it is important to actually test the teaching aptitude of the instructor.

Motivation level of the instructor determines his level of proactive effort in ensuring effective learning. This depends upon the career goals of the instructor, his basic personality and behavioral traits. It is important to ensure that a sound synchrony exists between career objectives and opportunity and progression, the teaching profession provides.

Learner Centric Parameters

Learner centric factors determine the learners ability to grasp the target knowledge set in isolation as well as in the context of related concepts. This includes:
a)Level of the pre-requisite knowledge and skills
b)Level of inherent aptitude for the specific knowledge set
c)Level of inquisitiveness
d)Ability to process, analyze and link new information with what already possessed

Together, these factors determine the learning speed.

Several behavioral characteristics of the learner also impact the learning outcome. The ability to concentrate and stay focused, the ability to work in a sustained manner towards a target outcome are major behavioral parameters constituting the learning personality of the learner which greatly impacts the learning achieved.

An important distinction between instructor centric and learner centric parameters is that while instructors can be subjected to a selection process to ensure the right ingredients, there can be no such selection process for learners. Anybody with an intent to learn qualifies as a learner and hence, the set of learner comes with an extremely wide spectrum of learner characteristics.

Thus on one hand, we have students with fast learning speeds and extremely conducive learning personalities (Bright students) and on the other, we have students with below average learning speeds and obstructive learning personalities.

It is important to note here that there should absolutely be no value judgement attached to the varying levels of learning characteristics of the students. It is absolutely nobodys case that bright students have more right to learn than the relatively slower ones.

Thus, it becomes imperative for the learning transaction to cater to and compensate for the differences in the individual learning characteristics of students.

Transaction Centric Parameters. This is the third important set related to the effectiveness of the teacher-taught interaction.

Transaction effectiveness is primarily determined by the ability of the learning process to:
a)cater to and compensate for the wide variation in students learning characteristics
b)facilitate continuous evaluation and feedback from teacher to students
c)generate positive and negative reactions in response to the positive and negative learning achievements
d)facilitate free communication from student to the teacher regarding query resolution and intimation of any learning help required.
e)two way communication and interaction between teacher and student

Learning outcome of any learning oriented transaction depends upon the right synergy between the three major kinds of factors impacting the learning process

Traditional Classroom & Online 1-1: Competitors or Comrades

Traditional classroom setting where a single instructor communicates with a group of students of the roughly the same age, knowledge and skill level has been by far the most popular mechanism of organized instruction. This is in no small measure due to resource effectiveness inherent in the approach.

However, since the learning characteristics of students in a seemingly coherent group vary significantly and classroom instruction inherently being a group learning activity it settles down to cater to the most populous sub-section within a group of students. This means a classroom instruction fundamentally caters to the median of students with learning characteristics lying at the center of the curve. In other words, it catres to the learning speed of an average student thereby leaving the students with learning characteristics at either extremes, stranded.

Thus, while the slow learner may feel confused and puzzled, the fast learner becomes frustrated because teaching is at the speed of an average learner. This has been the most significant drawback of otherwise cost effective and relatively effective classroom instruction.

Personalized online tutoring helps remove this weakness out of the classroom setting by providing supplemental learning at the individual learners speed. Thus the slow learner has an option to go slow, imbibing everything at his pace, the fast learner can quickly cover topics and move on thus satisfying and igniting his heightened interest level.

Done in tandem with classroom instruction, proper one-on-on online instruction creates the ideal learning setting for each individual student.

Conclusion

Personalized one-on-one online tutoring mixes individual instruction with technology to make it cost effective by utilizing the services of qualified instructors in those parts of the world where there is a surplus. Combined with traditional classroom instruction, it offers a complete learning setup for students all across the learning spectrum.

The concept is exciting and a lot depends on pedagogical processes of the online tuition provider. It is therefore, important to choose your online tutoring provider with care.

Agency can be a confusing subject for both consumers and real estate practitioners. Basically, there are three types of agents the sellers agent (or listing agent), the buyers agent and an agent who represents both seller and buyer (called a dual agent). The agent represents the client (the principal) in transactions involving third parties. California law requires licensed real estate agents to present an agency disclosure form to all potential clients.

Spirit of Tenacity

Sticking to it...Never, never quit!...When the goin' gets tough the tough get goin'...Persistence pays--phrases I have heard my entire life, and so, so much easier said than done. Over the past 19 years as a business owner, I have often reflected back on our early years in business. Those were the days, when the power and light company shut off our lights because I couldn't afford to pay the bill, that we now so fondly refer to as the "dark ages." I remember back then it was challenging enough just to put groceries on the table. It was during those difficult days, when I felt most like giving up, that I made a decision that I was not going to let the tough times beat me. Somehow, I would succeed.

Growing up, my dad had taught us kids to work hard (and I mean really work hard!) I knew for a fact that I could depend on this attitude of working hard, but it was not going to be enough. I was going to have to work smart, too. What do I mean by working smart? At first, I had my plans and dreams (mostly in my head), but then I learned that in order to work smarter, I needed to put these plans down in writing. As I shared last week in my article Are You Ready?, having a written plan helps us to be ready to make the most of opportunities that come our way. A written plan can also help us to have a Spirit of Tenacity-that quality of holding fast to our dreams, goals and desires, being unwilling to quit or let go or give up, and sticking to it even when all indications seem to say "Quit."

I read my plans everydaysometimes several times a daywhich gives me the catalyst to achieve my dreams. I can visualize success in my mind's eye. Last week I made in one hour what it use to take me a month, or more, to earn. I believe this is a result of the planning I did in the dark, dark days.

It has been my written plans that have helped me to hang in there, reminding me why I was doing what I was doing, and keeping me from giving in to the temptation to quit in the difficult times.

If we are to succeed, we must press on. We must possess a Spirit of Tenacity. I encourage you to let your dreams take you far, and when the going gets rough and tough, roll up your sleeves and grab a pencil and start planning. This is a powerful tool to help you to be tenacious in life, whatever you set out to do.

Ideas For Your Life

The Law of Attraction Requires Time

The Law of Attraction is a mainstream phenomenon thanks to the popularity of the movie The Secret. The Law of Attraction is a universal law that grants us whatever we desire. Sounds simple enough, but sometimes we dont get what we want when we want it.

For example, say you desire a new sports car. You tell the Universe you want the car on Tuesday the 13th. However, the car doesnt manifest. Now you ask questions. Why didnt the Universe grant my desire? Did I ask for the wrong thing? Does the Law of Attraction really work?

Well, the Law of Attraction does work. The Universe does grant our desires. However, the Law of Attraction is still a process. The crucial link between a desire and the manifestation of that desire is time. It may take days, weeks, months or even years before you get what you want.

The time factor serves 3 important functions as it relates to the Law of Attraction:

1. Time to Prepare
The time between dream and manifestation is a preparation period. Different dreams require different levels of preparation. Whether you desire a career change, a car, a relationship or a business, all dreams come with their own unique responsibilities. Are you ready for the responsibility?

You may need time to grow and mature. You may need to grow in terms of character, talents, gifts, or skills.

This is why you can ask for job opportunity, and one appears the next day. Yet you may desire a relationship that takes 3 years to manifest.

The Universe is an all-knowing source. So it takes into account who you are, where you are, and what you need to do to get ready for the manifestation of your dream.

2. Time to Orchestrate the Manifestation
Your dream is never just about you. We are all interconnected beings. What you want affects others and vice versa.

There are unforeseen variables that are instrumental in helping you manifest your dream. So, in bringing your dream to manifestation, the Universe must orchestrate a myriad of events, people and resources.

3. Time to Change Your Mind
Lets face it, we do change our minds. What you want today may not be what you want tomorrow. So you always have the time to rethink or revise your dreams. Rethinking your dream helps you gain clarity as to what it is you really want.

So be patient. Dont rush the process. Most importantly, dont lose faith in your dream.

Think of time as a dream manifestation tool. So use that time wisely. You dont have to sit around waiting for something to happen. Live your life as if your dream has already manifested.

10 Common Money And Success Myths - Part 1

For the longest time, people believed that the earth was flat and that if you traveled all the way to the end, you would fall off! People were trapped; they were stuck in a world that reached out only as far as they could see - a world much, much smaller than the actual size of earth. They were stuck not because that was all that they had available to them, but because that's all they "believed" they had.

They firmly held on to this belief until one day someone proved them wrong by sailing around the world. And in doing so, he opened up a whole new world of possibilities and opportunities for everyone. The rest of earth became available to them.

Beliefs are funny creatures. You see, beliefs are not necessarily based on what's true or factual in the world. The power of each belief comes only from the believer of that belief; the strength of your belief depends on how strongly you believe it to be true.

That means that you can believe whatever you want to believe. Because, as long as you believe it to be true, it will be true in your life. Consequently, you will attract events, experiences and people into your life that will match your beliefs, which will in turn strengthen those beliefs further.

The level of success of a person depends greatly on his/her beliefs. It depends greatly on how s/he views the world, through those beliefs. For this reason, it is very, very crucial to adopt only the beliefs that serve you and to let go of those beliefs that limit you.

Because, we don't always see what is "real." We perceive the world based on our beliefs. As we walk through life, we begin to realize that a lot of what we learned growing up was not very useful, or even true. We begin to realize that life is really about "choices." That we can choose to believe whatever we want. And if a certain belief is not very useful, we can change it.

You have done it before. It takes courage to be willing to look at your current beliefs and then decide whether they serve you or sabotage you, whether to keep them or get rid of them. But you have that choice. You have the power to change your beliefs, and to change what is "real" to you.

Here are a few commonly held beliefs, or "myths," that hold many of us back from achieving success...

Depression Affects Our Life In Many Aspects & 5-HTP

There is a huge number of evidence that suggests that low serotonin levels are a common consequence of modern living. The way of life and dietary practices of many people living in this stress-filled era results in lowered levels of serotonin within the brain. As a result, many people are become overweight, crave sugar and other carbohydrates, experience bouts of depression, get regular headaches, and have vague muscle aches and pain. All of these maladies are correctable by raising brain serotonin levels.

Depression is a situation of low or 'empty' mood that persists for several months at a time and affects our capability to guide a normal life. Often, the disease affects our entire body and many aspects of your life with symptoms like anxiety, guilt, persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, hopelessness, helplessness, worthlessness, or pessimism, loss of energy, fatigue, or feeling, Loss of interest in sex and many others.

There are a number of herbs and supplements that may be helpful in such conditions but 5-HTP is one the best supplements to overcome with these type conditions.

5-HTP (5-hydroxyltryptophan) is a naturally occurring metabolite of the amino acid tryptophan. 5-HTP is converted in the brain to serotonin, a neurotransmitter substance found at the junctions (synapses) between neurons. 5-HTP helps maintain mental and emotional well-being and promotes healthy sleep. 5-HTP is an effective antidepressant agent. 5-HTP often produces very good results in patients who are unresponsive to standard antidepressant drugs. 5-HTP in the prevention of migraine headache offers considerable advantages over drug therapy.

Conditions associated with low serotonin levels helped by 5-HTP depression, obesity, carbohydrate craving, bulimia, insomnia, narcolepsy, sleep apnea, migraine headaches, tension headaches, chronic daily headaches premenstrual syndrome, fibromyalgia

Best way to take 5-HTP is depend for depression, weight loss, headaches, and fibromyalgia the dosage should be started at 50 mg three times per day. If the response is inadequate after two weeks, increase the dosage to 100 mg three times per day. Because 5-HTP does not rely on the same transport vehicle as L-tryptophan, it can also be taken with food. But, if you are taking 5-HTP for weight loss it recommends taking it 20 minutes before meals. It is better that you take with the direction of your doctor.

Bringing The Tahini To Life

Very few people use Tahini - a ground sesame seeds - although it is available practically everywhere. Tahini seeds are inexpensive, they can survive longer and can be best stored in domestic refrigerators.

If you are from a Middle Eastern family, I'm pretty confident that you know what Tahini is. Just a little dash of it will make any Middle Eastern dish awesome.

Tahini is a bit tricky to use. When it is mixed with other ingredients, it thickens really fast. If you are cooking Tahini paste after mixing, you will have a really hard time stirring it.

Water plays a critical role in this salad. It takes care of all the stirring issues when it comes to Tahini. Add garlic and cumin in minimum quantities, some onions, tomatoes and a couple of tablespoons of hot water to the salad dressing and voila! You have an elegant dish in front of you.

Here are some interesting techniques you can use. If you like raw onions strong, you can skip soaking them; but this step, known as "killing" the onions, tames them nicely. Just to be sure that the taste of the dish remains, add tomatoes unseeded. The flavor and the juice which they impart are simply amazing.

I noticed that when I add cubes of stale, grilled or toasted bread, it just turns into something like Panzanella and I love it that way! You can provide the finishing touches to the dish by dressing it up. For a more tasty combination, you can add chicken or shrimp.

I am already feeling hungry...

~ Salt and pepper to taste

~ 4 medium tomatoes, cored and chopped

~ 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, or more to taste

~ 1/3 cup tahini paste

~ 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

~ 1/2 garlic clove, peeled and minced, or to taste

~ 1/2 cup fresh parsley leaves, chopped

~ 1 medium red or white onion, peeled and diced

Soak onion in salted cold water while preparing other ingredients, about 30 minutes. Whisk or blend together garlic, tahini and cumin, and add lemon juice; the mixture will become very thick.

Thin with hot water, a tablespoon at a time, just so the mixture can be spooned. It will thin further when tossed with tomatoes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Toss onion, tomatoes and parsley with dressing. Taste, adjust the seasonings and serve. Yield: 4 servings.

Here's a little tip: Do not hesitate to add some more ingredients of your choice to this recipe. Test it out and may be you'll have something interesting.

Adding some chilis or something else can change completely the taste. It all depends on you.
